What is SMTP Authentication?
Authenticated SMTP allows you to send emails through our mail servers, using a username and password supplied by us. This can be used when your ISP (Internet Service Provider) does not provide an outgoing mail server, or if you use a machine which logs in from various locations, such as a laptop.
You should check with your ISP whether they block default port 25 (SMTP) access through their network or allow access to external SMTP servers through their network.
If they block port 25, or prevent external access, this service will not be available to you. |
